12 oz fettuccine
2 (12-oz) pkg broccoli florets
¼ cup butter
1 onion, diced
2 (6.5-oz) pkg garlic herb spreadable cheese
Cook pasta according to package directions, reserving 1 cup pasta water.
Cook broccoli according to package directions.
Meanwhile, melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion, and cook 6 minutes or until lightly browned and tender.
Reduce heat to medium; add cheese and ½ cup pasta water; cook 3 to 5 minutes or until creamy, adding additional pasta water, if needed, to reach desired sauce consistency. Add broccoli and pasta, toss.
