Daniel Dillon, Sonoma-Cutrer’s Tasting Room Manager, began his foray into the world of wine while attending the University of Texas at Austin, where he majored in Biology and German. He started working in a small tasting room outside of Austin during the summer of his sophomore year of college, learning all aspects of wine and hospitality. He quickly found a love for wine and worked his way up to the position of Tasting Room Manager. Daniel even helped produce wine for the winery! With his new found passion, he decided to forgo his childhood dream of going in to the medical field for his new found love for wine. As soon as he turned 21, he sat for his Level 1 course through the International Wine Guild and attained the title of Wine Sommelier. He also sat for the introductory course through the Court of Master Sommeliers. Daniel decided to relocate to the wine country of California and that is how he came to Sonoma-Cutrer. He brings passion, energy and creativity to his role as our Tasting Room Manager, which compliments his wine knowledge and helps to make our guest experiences truly memorable. He recently completed the Certified Sommelier Exam through the Court and plans to sit for the exam later this year. Daniel loves living in Santa Rosa and Sonoma Country with his two dogs, Revan and Ahri.
